The Toy Collection Starts Before You Even Get Through the Door…

Most museums have an entrance hall.

We have an adventure.

In fact, some visitors spend so much time exploring the entrance area of the Boldon Toy Collection that they almost forget there’s even more waiting beyond it.

The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by memories, surprises, and things you haven’t seen for decades.

You’ll find the much-loved Wombles gathering together as if they’ve just stepped out of Wimbledon Common.

Look a little further and you’ll discover Muppets memorabilia, including a stunning vintage Muppets poster that instantly transports you back to the golden age of family entertainment.

But that’s only the beginning.

Fans of science fiction can enjoy Star Trek collectibles and signed photographs from some of the pioneers who helped shape television and movie sci-fi from the 1950s right through to the 1990s. These are the people who inspired generations to dream about the future.

Music lovers will spot Beatles memorabilia.

Collectors will find vintage board games, rare toys, and fascinating pieces of childhood history.

We even have a vintage Muhammad Ali figure standing proudly alongside Action Man, creating one of those wonderfully unexpected displays that make visitors stop, smile, and tell stories.

If dolls are your passion, you’ll discover Sindy dolls, original Sindy furniture, and dolls from around the world, each with its own story to tell.

Then there are the beautiful Pelham Puppets, favourites of collectors for generations.

And for those who love the history of technology, you’ll find early electronic treasures, including one of the first mass-produced calculators and other fascinating inventions that once represented the cutting edge of modern life.

Children of the 1960s and early 1970s often light up when they spot our collection of Fisher-Price and Early Learning toys. These weren’t just toys—they were part of growing up.

The amazing thing?

Everything I’ve described so far is just the entrance area.

It’s only the first chapter of the story.

Whether you’re a serious collector searching for inspiration, a nostalgia enthusiast reliving childhood memories, or simply looking for a fun and unusual day out, the Boldon Toy Collection offers something special around every corner.

Every shelf has a story.

Every display sparks a memory.

Every visit reveals something new.

So why not come and see it for yourself?

Bring your family.

Bring your friends.

Bring your memories.

The door is open, the toys are waiting, and we’d love to welcome you to the Boldon Toy Collection.
